MARCEL FRANK WYSS

Film is my language, a way of making sense of the world and of giving form to what often remains unseen. It allows me to confront social realities and question the structures that shape them. I am drawn to authenticity rather than fiction, to lived experience rather than constructed narratives.

Born in 1978 in Bern, Switzerland, I studied Visual Communication and Video at HSLU – Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Design & Art). Since 2007, I have been co-owner of Lomotion Filmproduktion, where I work as a writer, director and editor on independent projects, while also producing commissioned films for the company.

In addition to my filmmaking practice, I regularly teach and mentor at universities and schools, including HKB, HSLU, Schule für Gestaltung Bern, AKAD and MINERVA, focusing on directing and editing.
